Project Goal
The Living Hope Church leadership team believes that their welcome cafe area and adjacent main hallway aren’t inviting to any first time guests to their church. They approached me to help redesign those two areas along with the main stage in their sanctuary, as well as two of their classrooms.
Welcome Cafe
Existing Cafe
This new cafe, after the back wall is demolished, will be 55’x19’ with a 12’ ceiling. A window will be added to the new back wall at the far end of the cafe. The client has a few requirements which are listed below. After making sure I met the client's requirements, I created three design directions.

Main Hallway
Existing Hallway
The hallway currently separates Classroom E215 from the sanctuary. The client wants to change the color scheme of the hallway and make it feel more inviting. They also want the entrance to the classroom to be obvious and inviting to new guests.

Classroom E215 (K-6th Grade)
Existing Classroom
This 24'x26' room is directed towards a younger age group, Kindergarten through 6th grade to be exact. However, this room is also used for other purposes throughout the week, and is only a classroom during Sunday morning service. Throughout the week it is used to serve meals and has a warming kitchen attached to it. So the client requirements match the room’s multipurpose usage.

Classroom 113 (Middle and High School)
Existing Classroom
This classroom is slightly smaller, being that it’s only 20’x25’. It’s also aimed at an older target demographic, 7th grade through 12th grade. Living Hope’s Youth Pastor specifically asked for a project set up to project on the left wall of the classroom; as well as a few other requirements.
